but i can't...i have to keep my feet on the ground

here i am...28 and living in nashville, tn. i have a great family that is rather spread apart. my dad is a professor and lives in texas. my mom is a kindergarten teacher in indonesia...that's right, indonesia. my big sister is in her 3rd year of law school and lives in vermont. my little sister just finished school at the aveda institute and lives in canada. even though we are seperated by lots and lots of states and oceans and countries, we are still very close and i love them all dearly.

my future

today i received my first teacher gift. my friend liz got me a teacher ornament from chicago and it made me so happy! i'm starting to realize that i'm really going to be a teacher...that lady your kids see all day, 5 days a week, who they either love or hate. hopefully they will love me and will learn everything they need to know. at least that's what i hope will happen. but i am really excited about it. i work with children now but it's in an afterschool program. they are pretty much spent by that time and don't always have the best attitudes. but it's understandable...they have been schooling for 8 hours. i would probably be tired and moody too.
on another note, alias...sad days. it used to be such a great show. the first and second seasons were the best but the third and fourth not the best. but now as the fifth has rolled around it has proved to be very disapointing. my friends and i will remain loyal (most of us at least...liz!) but not nearly as excited as we once were. at least we have lost to look forward to.
